Gracie Barra Georgetown is led by Professor Fabio Villela, a 4th Degree Black Belt whose training lineage runs directly through the founders of modern Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He trained under Grand Master Carlos Gracie Jr., the founder of Gracie Barra, Master Marcio Feitosa, and Master Vinicius "Draculino". Three of the most recognized names in the history of the sport. That lineage directly shapes how technique is taught, how students are evaluated, and how the school is run.
Professor Andre Sena is a 1st-degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under Grand Master Carlos Gracie Jr. Originally from São Paulo, Brazil, he has become a respected leader within the Austin community.
In his years teaching in Texas, he has worked tirelessly to use Jiu-Jitsu as a tool to empower people and improve lives. In recognition of his service, achievements, and dedication to the state, he was commissioned as an Honorary Admiral in the Texas Navy by Governor Greg Abbott.
An active competitor and instructor, Andre has also played a key role in developing defensive tactics and combatives training programs for local law enforcement agencies and for the U.S. Army at Fort Hood, creating specialized curriculum tailored to the needs of military and public safety professionals.
Beyond the mats, he has been deeply involved in programs supporting survivors of domestic violence, helping participants not only learn practical self-defense skills, but also rebuild confidence, self-worth, and personal empowerment.

"Everybody was welcoming and really helpful with training. It kind of reminded me of home. Definitely a good place to learn real skills. Thanks for the opportunity to be part of the family."
I researched a lot of different gyms in the area and so glad I chose here. The Professors at GB are extremely knowledgeable, but also know how to effectively teach the techniques. I Love that they have classes to fit my schedule! Everyone you train with is very helpful and a great place to learn and grow! Glad to have found it.
