Most people who walk into Gracie Barra Georgetown have never grappled before. A parent who wants their child to have focus and confidence. An adult looking for training that challenges the mind, not just the body. A woman who wants to learn real self-defense. They all start in the same place: a free first class.
The academy sits at 4402 Williams Drive, Suite 160, near Wolf Ranch Parkway, and serves families from Georgetown, Liberty Hill, Florence, and the Sun City Texas community. It is led by Professor Fabio Villela, a Gracie Barra 4th Degree black belt, who sets the tone of the room: calm, technical, and ego-free.
There is a class for every age. Four age-banded kids programs — Tiny Champs (2-4), Little Champions I (5-7), Little Champs II (8-10), and Juniors (10+) — plus an adult & teens class and a dedicated women-only class. No child is ever lumped in with students who do not belong on the same mat.
Every class follows the official Gracie Barra curriculum — the same structured system taught at more than 1,000 academies worldwide. It is the reason a beginner improves in a logical order instead of guessing. Since opening in 2023, Gracie Barra Georgetown has earned a 4.8-star rating across 106 Google reviews.
The first class is always free. No card on file, no contract for the trial — just an hour on the mat to see if it is for you.
