Little Champs I Classes
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for ages 5-7 — basic positions, mat awareness, and the focus and discipline that carry into school. First class free.
Five is the age a child can start learning real Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu — actual positions, actual technique — but only in a class that still respects how a five-year-old works. Little Champions I is built for exactly that line.
It delivers genuine instruction wrapped in a format that keeps kindergarten and early-elementary kids engaged: short bursts of focus, real energy, and structure that never tips into boredom or over their heads.
The curriculum covers basic positions, mat awareness, and big-muscle movement — the fundamentals everything later is built on. Children learn to move on the mat, to control their bodies, and the first real techniques of the art.
Just as important is what happens off the technique. The class builds focus, discipline, and respect for training partners. Professor Fabio Villela and the Gracie Barra Georgetown coaching staff hold the room to a real standard while keeping it encouraging — a five-year-old leaves feeling capable, not overwhelmed.
Little Champions I is its own age-banded tier. Gracie Barra Georgetown runs four separate kids classes, so a five-year-old trains with five- to seven-year-old peers — never lumped in with much older, bigger children. That peer-matching keeps the class safe and the pace right, and it is why families across Georgetown, Wolf Ranch, and Liberty Hill choose it over a mixed-age martial arts class. The Gracie Barra belt-and-stripe system gives visible milestones through the year.
The first class is free, with no contract for the trial. Dress your child in comfortable athletic clothes, bring a water bottle, and arrive a few minutes early. Call or text (737) 298-2780 to book.
